Tallow is rendered fat from grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle. It's been used for skin care, wound healing, and moisture protection for thousands of years across cultures. And when we looked at the science, it made complete sense why.
Tallow is rich in the same fatty acids that make up human skin — oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and linoleic acid. It contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. And because it so closely mirrors the skin's own sebum, it absorbs deeply rather than sitting on the surface.
